Raw Combatives currently offers specialised training in the areas of Eskrima, Senshido International self defence, Combatives and Raw Concepts. All our classes are held at Glen Waverley. Below, you can learn more about what each of the classes has to offer.

E S K R I M A

This class is split into two parts. The first hour is empty hands training which incorporates Filipino kickboxing, trapping, locking, weapon defence and universal body mechanics. The second hour is stick work. We mainly teach single stick but also play with double stick. Most of our stick work is taken from Nasubukang Arnis under the guidance of it's founder, Doug Tucker.

S E N S H I D O

This is not a system or a style of self defence . This is a way of being honest with yourself and those around you. You will get great self protection tools and effective tactics you will also learn how to become a better you through the great training methodology and ideology of Senshido International. No ego, no bullshit just good people learning to become more confident within themselves. This class is great for beginners or for those of you wanting more reality in your martial training.

C O M B A T I V E S

This class is based around combative fitness, skills and mindset. We train the core concepts of combat and martial arts to not only make you more confident but to also give you an understanding of how your body works. You will learn how to strike hard, how to have a balanced defence, how to cope with different energies and how to correctly communicate with your own body and with those around you.

R A W C O N C E P T S

This class concentrates on the core concepts of combat and the martial arts. You'll learn how and why we control space, the importance of speed of action, why intent and pressure are paramount to success as well as other core concepts that we not only use in combat but also use in our day to day life. This is an invite only class, you must have a good knowledge of our other classes and what we are about.
